Registrations will once again be done online via the My Football Club Visit http://www.playfootballnsw.com.au/register/ and follow the instructions. You will need your FFA number and your password.
New this year is the NSW Government’s ‘Active Kids’ program. If you are registering a school-enrolled child please ensure you read section 2 ‘NSW Government’s Active Kids rebate scheme’ to ensure you receive your $100 discount on each schoolchild’s registration fee.
On-Line Registration Log-In Details
You can complete the entire registration process including payment quickly and easily online. On-line registration is simple for returning players and you are strongly encouraged to make use of the online facility.
Your password will be the same as it was last year or the last time you played. If you have forgotten it you can access it at the http://www.playfootballnsw.com.au/register/ then ‘click here to proceed to the login pages’ and then ‘need a password’ and enter your email address.
NSW Government ‘Active Kids’ Rebate Scheme
The NSW Government has allocated $207 million over four years to establish Active Kids which is a program to help NSW families meet the cost of getting their kids into sport and active fitness and recreational activities. The program takes the form of a $100 voucher available to parents/guardians of school enrolled children. The $100 voucher can be used to help cover registration costs for sport and fitness activities and football is part of this program. Every child (4.5 - 18 years’ old) enrolled in school from Kindergarten to Year 12 will be eligible for an Active Kids Voucher. The scheme is not means tested and one $100 voucher is available each year for each child covering the Jan-Dec period.
Because the voucher applies only to school-enrolled children, the scheme is not available until 31st January 2018 (i.e. after the schools have returned following the summer break). Vouchers can be claimed via Service NSW either at http://www.service.nsw.gov.au or by attending any Service NSW location. The voucher will contain a code and this code will need to be inputted as part of online registration at http://www.playfootballnsw.com.au/register/ to claim the $100 discount. Note that if you have several school-enrolled children you will need to apply separately for a voucher code for each child.
Because the voucher scheme is not available until 31st January 2018 there are two registration options available to you from 4th January when registrations open:-
1. Wait until 31st January 2018. Then apply for the Voucher code from Service NSW (either at http://www.service.nsw.gov.au or in person at a Service NSW location). Once you have the voucher code then register with Barden Ridgebacks Football Club (either online at http://www.playfootballnsw.com.au/register/ or at our manual Registration day on Sunday 11th February 10:00-2:00pm
2. As an alternative, you can still register with us from 15th January up until 30th January prior to obtaining your voucher code. An option will be available to you to take a ‘$100 deferred payment discount’ during registration pending supply of the voucher code. To follow this option, register your child in the normal way at http://www.playfootballnsw.com.au/register/ but when you get to the payment screen select the option ‘purchase additional items’ and within here select the ‘Active Kids deferred discount’ option. This will apply a temporary $100 discount to your fee in lieu of you obtaining and supplying the voucher code. From 31st January you can then apply for the voucher code from Service NSW (either at http://www.service.nsw.gov.au or in person at a Service NSW location) which you should then submit to the club at [email protected] to finalise registration of your child. Please note that your child’s registration will not be finalised until either this voucher code has been received by us or the outstanding $100 has been paid.

Manual Registration Day (new players must attend)
For those who are having difficulties with online registration and for ALL new players who haven’t played football in the Sutherland Shire area before we will be holding a manual registration day on Sunday Feb 11th
Location : Lucas Heights Community School
Please note that new photos are required this year for all players in the following age groups:-
U10 male and female
U14 male and female
U18 male and female
All new players aged U10 or older
Any player with an existing photo more than 3 years old
Photos must be head and shoulders ‘passport-style’ and can be uploaded online during the registration process. Alternatively, you can attend one of the above registration days and we will take your photo for you.
It is very important that you upload / update your photo when you register if you are in one of the Age Groups above. Each year we see a handful of players who miss out on playing in Round 1 of the season simply because they did not have a valid photo. We need your assistance to avoid this.
Junior team grading will be held as required as per the details below:
When: Saturday 24th February 2018 - Junior U/6 – U/11
Sunday 25th February 2018 - Junior Boys & Girls U12 – U18 & Boys U21 (please see details below)
Saturday 3rd March 2018 - Spare (For Call Backs / Wet Weather)
Sunday 4th March 2018 - Senior Teams Allocation (W21, AL, WAL, O35 & O45).

o Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your grading time below
o Only players who have registered to play with BRFC in 2018 are permitted to participate in grading.
o Players not wearing shin pads and boots will not be permitted to participate in grading.
o Players should have suitable sun protection and fluids.
o Ensure you check the Club's website www.bardenridgebacks.com.au in the week prior to the scheduled grading day for details of any changes to the grading times or venue.

All Coaches and Managers (juniors and seniors) will this year be required to register via www.playfootball.com.au/coach/register-a-coach
All Coaches and Managers of junior teams will also be required to have applied for and submitted to us a valid ‘working with children’ number. This is now a mandatory requirement to ensure compliance with legislation and FFFA’s standard policies.
